Partners Randy Rummel and Dan Nichols announce the launch of Caliber Range Corporation, a design and manufacturing company with sights set on growth with new, innovative grills and appliances proudly designed and built in Huntington Beach, California.

After partnering and founding a major appliance company as its head of engineering and product development and later as president and CEO, Randy Rummel has recently been assisting other large and small appliance companies since 2001 through his design consulting business “Revolve Design, Inc.” in the California community of Huntington Beach. Once head of design and driving force behind the visual brand of the same appliance company for 15 years, Dan Nichols has also been travelling a parallel consulting path, designing brand defining products for a similar client list. Now the two appliance veterans have partnered to form an exciting, forward thinking appliance company focused on growing manufacturing locally while infusing the outdoor category with several new and innovative products. Rummel and Nichols have plans to build the brand with the same creative, forward thinking fusion of technology and design that resides in hundreds of products they’ve designed together over the past 20 years.
The initial launch of product includes a collection of Grilling products, featuring 9 distinct models across the Caliber Cross-Flame Pro™ series and the Caliber Cross-Flame Silver™ series. The Cross-Flame Silver™ grill line will come with a moderate price tag as a “Made in America” import grill replacement, while the top of the line Caliber Cross-Flame Pro™ will be loaded with many new benchmark features engineered for home outdoor culinary chefs. One of the most notable features in the Caliber Cross-Flame Pro™ series is the patent pending Cross-Flame Pro™ Burner and radiant system which is cast of solid brass and its proprietary heating technology grills with unrivaled performance and evenness.
The company has also released the Caliber Therma-Shell Pro™ Charcoal Grill/Smoker which incorporates several patent pending and industry exclusive features, including their Dual-Shell technology that takes advantage of Hi efficiency insulation and a Patent-Pending Therma-Flow™ flue system that drastically boosts efficiency compared to other Kamodo style grills.
