You are in the area. Ask Alex to give you my e-mail address. We know each other. You are the surfer aren’t you ? Good solid skills to. Too bad Brockway bought DCS. Randy , Tom Caufield and yourself did an excellent job on the grills. The best on the market at the time.

Very cold water up here. Surf much bigger but warmer in HB. I live in Humboldt now. It’s a growing town.

So Alex, can I have the email address of stallion as requested? Thanks for the kudos.

Not English, unless you count ancestry. The family’s been in the good ol’ U.S.A. since before the revolution. And, yes I consider myself to be good friends with most of the suppliers, having been both a competitor and customer in various stages of my career. But, enough about me … how about a few subtle clues on your identity.

You don’t have a Tante Lydia by any chance, do you?

I have no idea what that means and I looked it up. I am not German or a book writer. I came there in 1992. I left at the end of 2000.

Like I said, it was just a wild guess. In a prior posting you indicated that you had left the industry after much experience in the high-end. Your postings also indicate an engineering background. A former VP at Dacor, who left the industry after serving as President of Thermador, has an aunt named Lydia who lives in Nuremburg. (A very nice lady by the way). Thought you might be him, obviously not. ("Tante" means "aunt" in Deutsch)

I followed him at Dacor and moved into his position when he left.I also think he is a very good guy.

Go back to when DCS was in Los Alamitos instead of HB?

Thats is when we started doing work for them…..after DH left a manufacturer someone there knew him and signed him on as an authorized service center

I am not sure who you are so, I cant say if I am from your past. My husband worked for a service company in the late 80’s early 90’s and left to go work the tech line at Dacor. He left there to open his own service company. And I know this description loosely fits another former dacor employee.

I just looked at our original DCS service contract….and the names on it are Maurice Knight and Bob Waymire….someone there is one with a female’s name on it too…Debbie maybe?
