Word is spreading out Bosch will Innovate Again for 2009 with new models of dishwashers. The word is efficiency, silence, and less kWh. Some manufactures think there green well they better get back to there drawing boards. How about 2 Gallons of water for a Normal wash and a design that will basically be amazing. Consumers buy dishwashers and think there efficient well they should read the instruction manuals before buying! And that’s a Fact!!!!!

Is this a press release ? If so the editor needs a lesson on spelling. If you are an employee of Bosch you are doing them a discredit by announcing this. An efficient ,quiet and less consuming dishwasher ? That is good but should come from Bosch itself. However if true they must prove to some that this information is as accurate as you say. They make a decent dishwasher already. They really are a good company .I am sure a new round of marketing faux paux is about to begin on dishwashers.

Well i guess with less Water they will not smell anymore, how about working on them so they don’t fall apart in 6 months…

Most dishwashers do not smell. Maybe it is your water in the bowels of Louisiana !! Most don’t fall apart. Bosch , Miele ,Kitchen Aid and some GE models do well. I am looking forward to the new Bosch. Technological advances are good for the industry.

I have had my bosch for 10yrs or so….

Still going strong….well except for the plastic console…..but 10yrs ago, it matched my plastic chipping bezel on my Dacor too…

    (everyone had a plastic issue 10yrs ago….)

Dacor bezels for their wall ovens were made of high quality Lexan material. The stuff that CD’s are made from. It was expensive and you could have gotten a replacement. What product did you have ? Not many problems as I can recall.

the bezels chipped and cracked…known problem…we had plently of customers who got new bezels at the time.
It was changed out for a wolf…which has been changed out for a new Dacor

Different design from the wall oven. Not Lexan material. This was a problem. Not well planned out. A color blended in bezel . I agree it was a known problem. I would not personally buy the all gas range. My opinion of course. A low end gas range is better. The high end attempts to do too much to justify the cost.

Having worked for BSH, the dishwasher smell was a known issue out of the box. It had to do with the rubber gasket material around the door trapping moisture from when the units were run through a test cycle… Some dishwasher were less affected then others and over the years they have made a concerted effort to improve this but there were still some units where you would open the door for the first time and it smelled like something crawled up and died in there.

Unfortunately we were stuck with all gas.

I agree on the not worth the cost on all gas. We looked at lower end…but needed something that at least looked like it matched what was already here….and came across this Dacor…and what we paid was less then a lesser brand that would match what was here (basically we needed the grates to look the part….)

We are trying to finish the kitchen so we can sell…hence the need to match.

I thought he was speaking of smells after the wash cycle. My mistake. I did not notice the problem of out of box odors when I worked for Thermador in the 1980’s though. My only exposure to dishwasher manufacturing.

The problem with the Dacor unit was attempting to make it self clean with reverse air flow. Didn’t work well.

This appears to be speculation at this point. High level confirmation would say they are not for sale at this time. However, no one will really announce anything until ready. I just don’t see the value and the seller probably expects more than they can receive. They are a highly capitalized manufacturer with lots of toys but I don’t see a high value for the product line or good will of the company.Consequently unless they want to give it away,it won’t happen.

Sears has changed of manufacturer for there Front Loading Washers & Dryers they are now built by Samsung. This is a second “BAD” Hit for Whirlpool after having record negative sales and loosing this long time association with Sears. Guess that this second quarter will not be very positive for this big Brand. What Next!!!! For 2009

    Santa filing for chapter 13???
