I am resoring a 1930’s Montgomery Ward refrigerator. Does anyone know where I can find the age of the maching? I found the model and serial numbers, but have hit dead ends when looking online. Appliance411 doesn’t have much before mid 70’s.

What is the serial number ? It usually has the year somewhere on the tag.

Since I requested the serial number I will answer this for you. It appears that the unit was produced in June of 1936. The 6 is the month the 744 indicates it was the 744th unit produced that month and 36 is the year. The A probably identifies the building or production line the unit was produced on. Hope that helps you.
