Zephyr (rangehoods) Purchased By Broan-Nutone

We were originally going to list this as a rumor, but my, my, it is not looking like a rumor. This, my friends, is a head scratcher. It was generally believed, us included, that Elica got into bed distribution-wise with Zephyr in order to, well, buy Zephyr. At the same time, Broan-Nutone has been famously unhappy with Zephyr's blower performance claims for years, and years.
We are just now digesting this news and will have more analysis on the subject later, but until then, let us just say: you think politics makes strange bedfellows!

UPDATE December 8: Those in the know suggest that BN is following a strategy to align Best with Wolf/Sub-Zero and its distributors though the suggestion that Zephyr might be attempting the same with Viking does not hold water
