Why Does This Stuff Always Happen in Florida II (See July 2005 for I)
In the case of:
Alvent Distribution (of Florida)
vs.
ARD Distribution (of Florida)
Chuck Asarnow (ARD President)
SES Brands (parent of Alfresco BBQ)
Jeffrey Bernstein (SES president)
On March 6 a Broward County Circuit Court judge dismissed the lawsuit for all defendants with the exception of SES Brands, for which the lawsuit will be allowed to continue.
UPDATE: Mar 9, 10: Correction. The ruling was really a comment on the wording of the complaint. Alvent has 10 days, until March 26, from whenever the judge signs the ruling, to amend their case with added specificity. Failing amendments satisfactory to the presiding judge, our report above will be correct. If the Plaintiffs do not amend their case, the above will be the result, but if our email is any indication, we are betting that the complaint will be amended.
UPDATE: Mar 10: Though we will report the result of this "amendment" if any, the Advisor will reduce reporting on this subject until the case is closed. We do offer to have a reporter on scene if the parties reach agreement with the use flint-lock pistols at 50 paces or less, rusty sabers, staring into each other's eyes without blinking, name calling in the Mime language, or any of a thousand other approved methods of conflict resolution.............we have a list.
