Why Buy, When You Can Fix?

Here's an idea to save energy...........keep using what you're using.  See TreeHugger's thoughts on the matter.
The story is somewhat daft, but not completely daft.....much like many of the stories you will find all through this site.
This is the bad news.  The good news is that true energy conscious Tree Huggers are goal oriented, numbers folks, reminding you of the people who keep score in the stands during a baseball game.  They are not going to wait for the bloody washer to die.  They are going to give the thing a shove, a heave ho if you will, to work their utility bills down to the nubs as fast as humanly possible.  Does anyone think that this is a hole in the market waiting to be filled?
