Whirlpool Crosses to the Dark Side

Whirlpool follows up the firing of dealers with <$25K in purchases (September 25) with an overhaul of dealer display requirements for dealers of all sizes.  The example we received was of a dealer fired for not increasing Whirlpool displays from 18% to 36% of all units displayed.  Our other tipsters claim that Whirlpool is demanding increases in advertising, and threatening to pull programs and comps from dealers.  
We have not found any proof that Whirlpool is stealing food from the poor, removing dentures from the indigent, or canceling Benton Harbor's annual Christmas with the Carpenters concert.  Always a big hit with Benton Harbor's rather large assisted living community who don't notice that they're just carpenters.
