West Meets Westye

Effective April 1, 2007 Interwest Distribution Corp (covering AZ, NV, NM, and TX) will be acquired by the Westye Group (the distribution arm of Wolf and Sub-Zero). Mr. Bob Sioles will also retire from Interwest effective April 1.
What's to become of Abbaka, ASKO, Franke, Scotsman, and Vent-a-Hood? We expect that if they haven't already found better distribution they will be kicked to the curb on April 2.
This is a territory under-served by distributors. Interwest, Texas Sales, Paragon, Milestone, (are we missing any) are distributors marked by over-extension (too many marketed brands), or non-compete agreements (will not take on new brands that compete with their key brands: Viking, Wolf, etc). We bet there's money to be made by any new Texas distributor.
