ValueAmerica Files for Chapter 11 Bankuptcy Protection

Not that we were paying attention anymore (see January 2000), but F.Y.I., ValueAmerica has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, closed its website, and let go 185 employees.  It will focus on its electronic services business as it probes the meaning of "death by a thousand cuts".
