UPDATED: 2009 KBIS Downsizing to Fit in a School Gymnasium?
Submitted by advisor on Tue, 12/02/2008 - 9:48pm.
Wide reports of major exhibitor cancellations for the 2009 KBIS show in Atlanta are just another sign of the industry battening down the hatches for what will be the longest and deepest recession in living memory. KBIS is not yet considering a move to a gymnasium, but probably only because they haven't thought of it yet.
Reports received so far:
- Sub Zero/ Wolf
- BSH: Gaggenau, Thermador, Bosch, Siemens
- CORRECTION: We originally wrote in this space: "Whirlpool is out, but KitchenAid and Jennair are still in". Excellent sources tell us that in fact Whirlpool, Jennair and KitchenAid are ALL on the books to be coming to the show.
- Miele has cancelled the International Builder's Show, but are still listed for KBIS
- Viking is Coming.

Gymnasium
Where do we move the basketball game to Mr. Advisor ?
Wow...
That's pretty bad.
What a surprise
Sorry to see this happen. The builders show I think is losing it's shine anyway. I hope for the sake of all of us things get better. These shows cost a bunch.
