Time Out for TMIO and other Distributor Updates
TMIO, Effective July 31, the maker of built in ovens that also refrigerate, has cancelled its entire USA distributor network and chosen to go dealer direct. We have been told by one of its distributors that legal action is pending based on the claim that TMIO began selling on the internet before the end of the 60 day distributor cancellation period.
UPDATE: August 15: TMIO president David Mansbery returned our call, and made the following comments:
"TMIO had some very fine distributors but it wasn't working out. We have canceled the distributors and are following all the terms of the distributor agreements." He further indicated that he was "not aware of any pending legal action". TMIO has decided to use its own sales force to develop a nationwide dealer network and direct relationships with builders.
Liebherr, the German maker of mining and excavating machines and residential refrigerators, adds Paragon Distributing to cover Texas and AL markets, and points south.
