Three's a Duet

Following up our July news, KitchenAid is giving up its "Duet" type laundry products (aka the "Ensemble") in the Whirlpool reshuffle, to be taken over by Maytag.  The Whirlpool Duet design will now be available as the Kenmore HE3t in Sears, and by Maytag at Home Depot and elsewhere.  
Sears must be thrilled.
UPDATE:  September 18:  We continue to receive unofficial reports that Samsung has been chucked out as a supplier of Maytag's laundry products.
UPDATE:  September 20:  The following has been confirmed:

• The Whirlpool "Duet" washers will be be branded "Epic" for Maytag
• The Maytag Dryer Centers are discontinued
• The Maytag Neptune MAH8700 / MAH9700, possibly supplied by Samsung, will be discontinued November 1.
