Team Whirlpool Slaps LG

TWICE reports that Whirlpool has won a patent infringement case related to in-door ice makers, against LG. Whirlpool was awarded $1.8 million.
We did not attempt to reach anyone at Whirlpool for comment, but had we, they certainly would have said something like this, "the appliance industry is extremely competitive, and Whirlpool will continue to compete in this industry with every legal tool in the toolbox as the world leader in major appliances and major appliance technology. At the same time we shall defend ourselves with every legal tool in the toolbox when competitors feel the need to cross the line and attempt to cut corners."
