Sudden Death Over-Time for TMIO? Exclusive

We have received a tip from a member of the Ad-Vice Squad that Viking Range has acquired TMIO, maker of refrigerating ovens.  We have not been able to reach TMIO, the toll free number on the website is in-operable. and the toll number goes direct to voice mail.  TMIO canceled its distributor network in August 2006 attempting to sell dealer direct.  The TMIO technology created a full use refrigerator in the oven cavity.  The point was to allow morning preparation of the evening meal and remote launch of the cooking cycle by phone.  Remote diagnostics was also a benefit.
TMIO could have had difficulty competing with TurboChef's high speed no pre-prep ovens.  Pricing could have been an issue.  The most important problem was likely one of branding (TMIO who?) and the resulting difficulty grabbing floor space.
The tipster indicates that the product line will be absorbed into Viking with some design upgrades.  If true, we would guess that production will move to Greenwood.
