Sears Settles

Sears settled a class action suit over tipping cooking ranges sold between 2000 and 2007. Consumers will receive either anti-tip brackets OR $100 gift cards or reimbursements. Public Citizen believes that it could cost Sears $545 million, but Sears complains with ample reason, that the actual cost will be but a fraction. Will Sears pass this cost to its supplier, or will insurance pick it up tab? Or will the stockholders?
