Rumor: Viking will Cancel Gulf Central Distribution

Rumor has it: Early hurricane hits Gulf. Effective July, Viking will cancel its distribution agreement with Gulf Central. Gulf distributes the complete Viking line in Florida, and did carry Viking refrigeration in GA, AL, NC, SC, VA. Viking is Gulf's "anchor" without which this distributor will be adrift in rough seas with a combination of 2nd and 3rd tier lines. And Viking? Most likely to a Viking owned distributor yet to be invented, as happened in Michigan (see June 2000 below). A Gulf Central employee by the name of Melissa, had no comment.
