Q: Sub-Zero and Viking Available at Best Buy? A: Not in this lifetime.

A hot rumor (hot if you're an appliance shut-in) is making the rounds but this one is based on confusion, not fact, and, we understand driven by a Best Buy presentation raving about their own entry into the upscale segment and their offering of Viking and Sub-Zero.  
Best Buy was ACTUALLY trying to communicate that they have entered the Upscale segment with Best Buy's acquisition of the high end Calif. dealer, Pacific Sales (see Dec 2005).
Best Buy itself will NOT sell Viking and Sub-Zero.  
For readers with lives, a quick explanation.  Best Buy = mass market.  If SZ and Viking were at Best Buy, dealers would stop selling, distributors would be calling their lawyers, and supernaturally tanned woman, scabbed with liposuction exit wounds, their faces barely fastened at the forehead, will be seen pushing 600 lb stainless ranges to the street for recycling.  For a sight like this....it would almost be worth it.
