Pots o' Gold

The lives of the ApplianceAdvisor.com editorial staff are lived simply; a monastic existence on the margins of society.  Our thrills are decidedly modest.  The arrival of the new Crate and Barrel catalog can keep us buzzing all day.  
Some professions come with many perks and piles of free loot, for example Oscar presenters are not satisfied with an $80,000 gift bag which includes electronics, resort stays, designer clothing and Lasik procedures, but our reporters are happy if their KBIS swag includes a hotel pen, or a pinched roll of toilet paper.

So just imagine our excitement when the Dacor-brand Signature Gourmet Cookware Collection of 4 heavy-duty gleaming stainless steel pots and pans arrived......a gift...for journalists (this includes us!!)....just for stopping by Dacor's KBIS booth.  
The Dacor cookware collection features:

• low profile tight fitting tops that fit easily and vertically right into the dishwasher (sooooo much better than our wretched Farberware)
• cast handles solidly bolted to the vessel
• some sort of heat spreading and absorbing technology.  

We've been using them for a few weeks now (admittedly on sterno) and we are absolutely delighted with their design, use, and clean-up.  Honestly.  If we didn't like them, we wouldn't be writing this.

Will this bend our conscious, editorial objectivity concerning Dacor's major appliances?  Probably not, but pots are better than hotel pens, so one can never know how a windfall will effect one's subconscious.
