The New Sheriff Comes to Town: Episode III

Sources tell us that a deputized posse (Home Ventilation Institute representatives) visited the land claims (KBIS booths) of many alleged snake oil salesman (rangehood performance exaggerators), laying down the new law in a lawless land, that their kind had one last chance to straighten out before they were hung (out to dry).  Will this end peaceably (a wave of new HVI membership certifying the performance of all their rangehoods), or with the town all shot up (lawyers as far as the eye can see and not nearly bullets enough for 'em all)?
