Mr. Chuck Asarnow Retires
Chuck Asarnow, founder of Florida's ARD Distribution, and since the 2007 Hadco acquisition, Hadco's VP of Business Development, has retired effective August 31. Mr. Asarnow has for over 3 decades driven the growth of ARD, and the sale of luxury appliances in Florida. Chuck has been a voice of sanity in our industry, providing wise and friendly council even to those not wise enough to follow it.
Mr. Asarnow will remain on the Hadco Board of Directors, while considering, at his leisure, what he will do next. Actual retirement is not a likely choice.
Mr. Asarnow says:
"Both my old ARD gang, and HADCO honored me with retirement parties over the past couple of weeks. I certainly leave the industry in a very different position than when I started in 1979. However, I leave with many friends throughout the country, and will continue my relationship with them."
The staff of ApplianceAdvisor.com wishes to congratulate Mr. Asarnow on his successes, and hope he finds his way back into the appliance fold.

Chuck's retirement
Congratulations to Chuck on a well deserved retirement. I'm certain that your knowledge and passion for the industry will be sorely missed. I wish you and Pat the very best.
Yes Cohiba
Another legacy of great spirit and passion leaving the industry. I know from personal experience that as a DCS distributor he certainly almost single handedly built the grill business in Florida. Didn't know him well but when I did meet with him you could tell he was everything you said and more. The industry sorely needs folks like Chuck. Not many left.
