Launch of Maytag Specialty Group

Maytag has created the Maytag Specialty Group to combine and manage its Jade Products Group (which includes Dynasty), and its Amana Commercial Products unit. The new group was created to better serve the commercial and pro-style segments and will be lead by newly hired VP and GM Craig Ibsen (ex-CEO of Appliancezone.com). This move seems to be a concrete indication that Maytag will be keeping all of its current commercial cooking businesses. (See May 2001)
