In a recent article by Remodeling Magazine, they report that Home Building rose 15% in September ... That, in and of itself, would normally be very good news in an economy with such a dearth of anything uplifting ...
... until, of course, one reads further to discover that the statistics include " ... a surge in volitile apartment construction."
It's funny that the banks can find the $$$ to fund apartment construction, but not new homes ...
Could it be that is because they note that there is no demand for now homes ???
OR
Could it be that they realized that they created a lot of displaced people thru their foreclosures of those mortagages they granted ???
They've got to live someplace, right ???
