Good News Where You Can Get It

Drum Roll Please.............
1)  Vent-a-Hood hires Mark Klein as Director of Sales to replace James Adams who left for Elica. 
Mark comes from the furniture industry and so is under the impression that the appliance industry is Vegas-like in its prosperity, glamour, and excitement.  Let's not break it to him for a few months at least.
2)  Bosch is named the 2009 Energy Star partner of the year.
Knowing how much we respect the fine work of Energy Star.................
3)  Whirlpool has been recognized the 2009 Energy Star Sustained Excellence Award
4)  Gaggenau announces the industries first 5 year warranty, which is actually the only "real" good news here.
Buying a $12,000 range with a 1 year warranty is just stupid.  I think that we all envy the 0.00167% of the US population who will benefit from this wonderful warranty upgrade.

Sorry for being clueless but what is Kenyon Custom, whats a 3 yr warranty if nobody has ever heard of your product?

We love the wit of the Advisor .00167% of the US population. LMAO! Far be it for me to stick up for Gaggenau, but the Miele warranty in Canada is not a unconditional 5 years on all products.............

Am I missing something?  How can they claim it to be an industry first when Miele in Canada was doing 5 year and 10 year warranties last year?

The way Gaggenau is wording

The way Gaggenau is wording there press release is they are the "first and only brand in North America".  So this can apply to both Canada & US.  But that's just my guess.
