Warming Deniers Uncharacteristically Silent

January - June warmest first half year. June the warmest month. Can 2010 beat 2005? Fingers crossed everyone.
Deniers said to be seeking to counter these findings by surveying the membership of the American Dental Association, and the Letter Carriers Union for their opinion on climate change.
So, maybe ...
... the case was compromised when the cause lost it's leader in Al Gore ???
Let's face it, if he was out of control in his personal life which he and "Tipper" put a "happy face" on for years, just how valid is anything else he purports ???
Tiger Woods has lost HIS game, so why wouldn't Al Gore lose HIS message as well ???
Responsible Voters
In a democracy each voter has a responsibility to be knowledgable in the events of the day. In a modern democracy, those responsibilities have exploded. Bare minimum, a voter must be more familiar with the pages of the Scientfic American than the pages of People magazine and National Enquirer. Whether Al Gore sleeps with goats, or wear's women's clothing, or cries when watching Old Yeller, is interesting but immaterial. True stuff is not less true based on who is saying it.

... perception is truth ... and there are a lot more "... wrong ideas ..." believed by the general population !!!
I'll bet you that you and I often run into people who are so disconnected from reality, and have such a convoluted opinion of a topic, that you walk away shaking your head and saying something like " ... and this person is allowed to vote !!!"
That's pretty much what I'm talking about ... it doesn't make it true, but if enough people erroneously think it, then it becomes a serious factor in the public perception of the truth !!! We can all recall issues which irrationally affected our lives today ... they often refer to it with buzz-words like "PC" or other milk-toast terminologies ...

BB, I have to agree with Advisor. The information is more important than the content of how Gore lives. No one is perfect. Give you $100,000,000and pretty girls all over the place. Hard for us to judge others.Look at the founding fathers.

... many great men in history had less than admirable private lives ... Washington freed his slaves when his wife died, Thomas Jefferson was known to use his slaves just like LBJ ... FDR, Eisenhower, even Woodrow Wilson come to mind ...
Unfortunately, in today's world it turns out that "Perception is Truth" but, more importantly, people believe what they see on TMZ faster than what they believe things in the major news portals ... that's all I'm saying !!!

I also understand that the accuser of Gore failed a lie detector test.Frankly we have yellow journalism as a result of the internet and the irresponsible people who send the trash thru as truth.
Admirable Lives
I'm pretty sure you can't equate cheating on your wife with rape, or "stepping out" with the lifetime imprisonment of the innocent. LBJ, FDR, Eisenhower, Wilson, (your list), may have been flawed, who isn't? From what I know about their private lives, I can only give you a "whatever".
Washington and Jefferson on the other hand are completely different. They were admirable men only with the ample white washing of their private lives. The hypocracy of founding the United States and writing the Declaration of Independence while simultaneously enslaving and exploiting the powerless is rare in history. Jefferson enslaved his own child.
Unfortunately Al Gore may have taken the same chance with his historic reputation if the worst climate predictions AND the reports of his homes and planes are both correct. Hypocracy is not the worst crime, but it's way up there.
As for the thing with the girl; I heard that he asked, and she said no. What's the problem here?
Now if they only owned some major appliances, we could bring this all back to the barn.
Maybe what we need ...
... is an investigative reporter who could interview the "players" in this economy to see who's buying/using what and why ???
