Franke (the Swiss maker of sinks which remove water from the kitchen) acquired from an investor group a 49% interest in Faber (the Italian maker of hoods which remove air from the kitchen). The remaining 51% interest is held by the Galassi family. Faber manufactures products for North American customers Whirlpool and DCS, and distributes under its own brand.
