Excell Corporation Defunct

The Excell Appliance Corporation, which supplied most of Vintage brand BBQ and Pro-Style cooking appliances until June (see Vintage History June 2007) has officially ceased operation. Excell is putting up for sale all of its proprietary technology, engineering drawings, supplier list yada yada yada..... useful for any company looking to jump into the Pro-Style cooking business. Excell president Mike Markowich claims that Excell's products were no "me toos", but that they "included technology far more advanced than anything offered by the larger brands." So why the long face? "Ramp up couldn't catch up to costs and keep us out of the ditch"
