Energy Star: LPF Episode #1

They live and work among us. They travel in the shadows. They are an arm of the government but answer to one man. And they have dedicated their lives to a cause we will never comprehend. THIS IS THE LPF.

I have never put much credence in the Energy Star rating ...
I find it to be akin to the gas mileage expectations they use to sell cars !!! Let's face it, if you drive your car without regard for the commonly held tenant of fuel conservation (stop-and-go driving, leaving the car to idling for inordinate periods of time, or other things like improper tire pressure, not keeping it tuned, etc.) you might as well throw those gas mileage expactation out the window !!!
If you use more water than necessary ... dry longer than necessary, and alike, the Energy Star Rating is moot !!!
Like Consumer Reports, the Energy Star Rating is a feeble guide pandering to those who cannot do a proper research of the products they are interested in, nor could understand anything other than what someone tells them is the truth because, after all ... it's a publication, isn't it ??? Yeah, right !!!
