Distributor and Brand News Forthcoming

Significant brand and distributor realignments, reorganizations, reassignments coming.  Check in as we unravel it.

• The viral rumor that mega-distributor Goldman Distribution of NY City, LI, and NJ has agreed to be taken over by its anchor brand, Sub-Zero & Wolf, continues to mutate, now with a date specific of November 1.  Still a rumor though, without any flesh on the bone, yet.
• Distributor rumors are rife throughout the Northeast and include, Carl Scheidel, Signature, Delia, Hadco, Goldman.
• Unconfirmed rumors that BSH will keep 4 distributors throughout the country, and go direct in the other territories.  If true, we would guess that they would keep ARD (FL), Purcell Murray (CA), Oakton (Flyover Country)......and the 4th, hmmmm Amiel, Radio some other? punt.

UPDATE:  May 3:  We received multiple emails that BSH is going direct in Eastern Canada (Amiel Distribution's fiefdom) at year end.  With 9 months notice, what of dealer displays?  sales?  customer service?  Will Eastern Canadians be able to spell B-S-H by December?
UPDATE:  May 12:  We received multiple tips that Oakton may not be one of the protected 4, assuming that there is a protected 4.  The date of of the BSH departure, the word goes, is July 1.  This is unconfirmed.
UPDATE:  June 26: 

• BSH signs distribution agreement with Echelon Home Products, the sister distributor to Eurotech Distribution of Tukwila, WA.
• The NECCO subgroup of the Nationwide Marketing Group is getting a new leader with the mandate for a top to bottom reorganization.

UPDATE:  May 12: 

• Paul Bundig appointed to run NECCO
• Scotsman has picked up Jim Peterson
• U-Line has pulled out of Oakton
