Dacor Pulls Out of KBIS

Breaking one of the longest exhibiting streaks in the industry, Dacor decided this week to pull out of KBIS.  Dacor had until this week reserved one of the largests booths at the Chicago show.  Exhibitors pulling out now are still responsible for 100% of the booth cost, though they do avoid the much larger costs of shipping, hotels, flights, union payoffs (it's Chicago), that usually add up to 2/3 of the total cost of showing at KBIS.  Several companies canceled late in the process last year.

Steven Joseph, Dacor's VP of Marketing said: "We are a big supporter of the NKBA, and we'll miss KBIS this year.  We plan on being back soon, when conditions improve in the building and remodeling industry".
