Circuit City Boycott

Circuit City is laying off all sales associates being paid 51 cents/hour or more than the "established wage range for their positions" (Apr 6: Virginia Pilot).  3400 are being fired immediately, and will not have the opportunity of reapplying for their positions (at a lower rate) for 10 weeks.   These salesfolks were not even given the opportunity of immediately accepting a lower salary to keep their jobs.  
A cost cutting measure not based on the more understandable lowest seniority or lowest performance, but instead based on a perverse algorithm that could only balance in the twisted psyche of an accountant.  
All their most successful and experienced staff, rewarded by the company for this success with higher wages, fired without recourse or negotiation. 
This move most foul, most rank has no recent equal in our industry.
Let the pain begin.  Boycott Circuit City.
