Calypsotic

Whirlpool and Sears are on the receiving end of a class-action suit, filed August 10, which charges that the Calypso Washer is defective, that they continually broke down, suffer from electronics problems and filtration problems, failed to clean the clothes properly, grew mildew, bent space/time, contributed to the delinquency of minors, yada yada yada.

There are a half dozen law firms looking to sign you up.  They are all over the internet, so we won't link them here.
The Calypso is a top loader without an actuator and uses water spray from the top and a sort of wobbling disk action below to provide the movement and wetness required to keep you from smelling and looking homeless.  Our New Appliance Report said in 2001 that Calypso was designed to combine "top loader convenience and front loader efficiency".
Before signing anything we recommend you read the John Grisham book, "King of Torts".
