BSH to End Radio's Transmission

BSH sent notice on May 27, 2009 stating that it will not renew its distributor agreement with Radio Distribution at year end.  Radio distributes BSH brands Bosch, Thermador and Gaggenau as well as ULine and Best in Michigan and Northern Ohio.  Radio notified ULine and Best of the coming change.  ULine canceled its distributor agreement with Radio effective August 31.  Best continues to meet with Radio.

Radio informed ApplianceAdvisor.com that they have the strongest balance sheet in the industry.  They are very healthy, want to remain in the business, and are open to all kinds of opportunities, they just need quality product.  Interested brands call David or Fred at 800-462-1544.

As for the BSH.  We are surprised to hear that BSH continues to move towards direct sales in such a bad economy.  Generally the move is all part of their larger plan, as the list of distributors canceled to go direct confirms:
-2005 canceled Hadco
-2005 canceled Freed
-2006 canceled Amiel
-2006 canceled Oakton
-2007 canceled Doolittle
-2007 canceled ARD
-2009 canceled Radio

Who are we missing?

The last two (nervous) distributors are west coast based Purcell Murray and Echelon Home Products

they said goodbye to us to

They also disbanded the national accounts team so 27 more lost jobs in a down industry. I am one affected by the cuts and not looking forward to looking but my chin is up and I will move on. It was 6 great yrs and an awesome team so if a company wants to grow email me and I will put a team together that knocks your socks off.
