Breathtakingly Unconfirmed Report #2

We have received a VERY unconfirmed rumor that Dacor has agreed to be purchased by Electrolux.  This rumor is from only one source, but a source which has proved to be correct in the past.  We could believe that Electrolux is driven to match the BSH purchase of Thermador but Dacor also offers a high end line, and a national direct sales force which could be leveraged with the new "Electrolux" brand.  For Dacor, it's an easier putt.  A 9 figure offer has been known to work in the past.  There is no confirmation that this is true and much to say it is not.
April 4:  Dacor president Michael Joseph denied this rumor.  Sure he had the perfect opportunity to sock this reporter, but instead Mr. Joseph graciously said, "Dacor is not for sale."  If not a sale, is something else going on?  We contacted so many people from the Baltic to the Pacific trying to confirm this story.  We received much additional information which strengthened the rumor but no direct confirmation.  Something was afoot for sure.  See April "KBIS News" above to see what was actually going on between Dacor and Electrolux.
