GE, GE Profile and Kenmore brands are recalling 92,000 double microwave, wall oven combos sold between January 2000 - December 2003 because of fire hazard. There have been 35 cases of property damage, but no injuries. Consumers will receive free repairs or a rebate for replacement.
"UP" DATE: Dec 8: Our friends to the North indicate that the recall does not include Canada. Evidently even after the recent exchange rate changes, Canadian lives are still not as valuable as American lives though out source thinks the reason is that these units did not travel north.
