UPDATED: Bloody Coup at Metallo Arts
These may be the last days of Metallo Arts, manufacturer of over-the-top, custom and stock range hoods priced for the super rich and then some. Metallo gained immediate fame at the 2008 KBIS with the display of the Chevy rangehood which required a sizable chunk of a Chevy and was rumored to be priced north of $50K.
The leadership of Metallo Arts, Chris Plumber, was overthrown by business partner Sheldon Gruber today, while Mr. Plumber was out of the office. The story is complex, very, very messy, and at the moment, a bit beyond our capacity to explain.
Chris Plumber said to ApplianceAdvisor.com, "Metallo Arts will be dissolved, but I will continue to forge ahead with my new venture CLP Design".
Dick Bergstrom of VAH Marketing, Metallo's distributor in California, said, "I am distraught over it. If in fact Chris is gone, then to me I would be very uncomfortable doing business with a company that doesn't exist (as it had) when we joined them as distributor."
We attempted to reach Sheldon Gruber but he did not answer, and his voicemail was full.
What exactly is a coup in the business world when equity is 50/50? What are the details? What are the facts? Stay tuned.

Sheldon Gruber contacted us and said, "We were headed for an iceberg so I had to take over the ship."
Mr. Gruber promised to fill us in with more information when he was able.

info given
You gave the cell number of your business partners wife
Is she a parner in the business
You gave your parner's address to his personal residence which is located in a different state from the business
You gave the telephone number of a attorney which turns out to be a divorce attorney
You said to contact your partner at Your sister company Valley Tin Works which has the same telephone number as Metallo
You have the same web site, the same phone number, the same everything
I have copies of e-mail communication with you for months preceeding this. My firms PO was addressed to Metallo Arts in Glenville PA of which you were listed as a partner.
My office never at any time knew of Grubber, spoke to Grubber.
You solicited this job, asked to take portforlio pictures , and sent samples back and forth for weeks.
You have NOT provided any help regarding who to contact at Metallo Arts with a PA phone number and address. You still have that PA phone number. You still answer it.
YOU are all over the internet. I am surprised that such a savvy business person would not know what is transpiring in his own company which HE started whose WEB site and phone is still the same.
YOU also said that you are no longer or were not a partner at the time of the PO show us your legal copy of desolution of partnership for Metallo Arts in Glenville PA You are really not aware of business law. Legal partnerships have to file with the state so if you did not do this - you are still a partner with Grubber . Better call your lawyer or Tax attorney if you have not filed. You are the other half of what ever your partners do.
metallo arts
this company blatantly stole client deposits without any intention of fufilling orders. check deposits were accepted and quickly cashed ,after the company broke apart. plummer moved his metallo/clp to Beaufort, SC and Gruber to Valley Tin Works . Mail is forwarded to a PO Box at a mail box store in Parlin, NJ. the company phone number for metallo relays to SC. however, plummer will not fufill orders and asks the caller to hunt down grubber. the only people hurt are those who have had their check deposits cashed instead of returned. how is one supposed to get back large sums of money from these elusive theifs.
where are the cameras
drama befitting a reality tv show..and it doesn't sound like its over...attorneys enter stage left..
