Abt and PC Richards Have "Needs", Now Satisfied by NATM Buying Group

Abt left NATM (in a huff we imagine) 7 years ago to join Progressive Retailers Association (curves in all the right places), but today left Progressive to rejoin the NATM Buying Group, ("come on baby, let me back in")
PC Richards left NATM in the 1990's to shack up with HHGregg to form a buying group all their own, but that was not to last.  PC was left having to help its own self in the buying department, not that there's anything wrong with that, but you know this New Yorker got tired of the same old same old, and had a hankering for something a bit out of hand.  NATM, with a heart of pure gold, opened that screen door (don't you do it girl!) and let PC back into her life and into her heart (to be broken once more?).
The two retailers together increase NATM's buying power 66% from $3 billion to $5 billion.  Funny how buying groups become more attractive, the more dealers there are hanging on 'em, pawing at 'em.
The original TWICE story (yes the story has been removed) has been removed, deleted from the TWICE website, but can still be found at this writing on the Abt website.

Why was the story deleted from TWICE?  There's a rumor that the TWICE editor is close to the Richards family.  Perhaps it's nothing.  Why is ABT joining NATM, and why simultaneous with PC Richards?  What could NATM have that Abt and PC Richards haven't already written the book on (3rd edition)?  PC is more luxury, NATM more meat and potatoes.  This story has everything but sex......so far.  Someone must be sleeping with someone!  Or is this just about eliminating jobs and salaries?  Wouldn't that be boring.

Increasing their buying power by 66% is certainly a win for NATM and with Bernies out, PC fills a big hole in the Northeast. Of course having ABT dominating Chicago doesn't hurt NATM either. So NATM now has major players in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, North-Central, Southeast, Midwest, Southwest and Northwest and $ 5 Billion in buying power. Looks like the beleaguered appliance manufacturers have a new and improved Goliath on the other side of the bargaining table.
